App Privacy — QuiKey AI Hub

Use this page as a checklist when you complete App Privacy in App Store Connect. Wording follows Apple’s “nutrition label” categories. If your shipped build changes behavior, update both this page and App Store Connect together.

Advertising (important)

QuiKey AI Hub does not show third-party ads and does not use data for third-party advertising or the developer’s advertising/marketing in the sense of ad networks or ad measurement. Optional PostHog usage is product analytics (under Apple’s Analytics purpose), not Third-Party Advertising or Developer’s Advertising or Marketing.

In App Store Connect, when Apple asks how each data type is used, leave advertising-related purposes unchecked unless your build actually does those things.

Data collection — summary

Category Collected? Linked to identity? Used for Notes
Identifiers — Device ID Yes, if user enables “Send usage metrics” No (pseudonymous ID for analytics) Analytics PostHog identifies an anonymous installation; not your name or email.
Usage Data — Product interaction Yes, if user enables metrics No Analytics Feature usage, success/failure counts; no file or chat body content.
Diagnostics Yes, if user enables metrics No Analytics Error or diagnostic signals tied to events; not full system crash dumps unless separately configured.
User content (files, text, prompts) Not collected by QuiKey for analytics Content is sent only to AI providers you invoke, under their policies—not to a QuiKey server for storage as described in the main privacy policy.

App Store Connect — walkthrough

  1. App Privacy → Get Started. If asked whether data is collected: Yes (optional analytics when enabled).
  2. Add Identifiers → Device ID: Under purposes, select Analytics only. Do not select Third-Party Advertising or Developer’s Advertising or Marketing unless you ship ads. Indicate not linked to the user’s identity if your answers match the table above.
  3. Add Usage Data → Product Interaction: Purpose Analytics.
  4. Add Diagnostics (if you declare any diagnostic events): Purpose Analytics.
  5. For data sent to third-party AI APIs: Apple’s form asks about data collected by you or your partners. Analytics providers count as partners for the optional metrics path. AI providers are engaged by the user’s in-app actions; ensure your review notes explain that users supply their own keys or accounts where applicable.

Encryption / export compliance

When you submit a build, Apple asks about encryption. This app uses standard HTTPS/TLS for network connections in line with Apple’s guidance for exempt-category apps. Answer based on your actual build and legal review.
