Privacy Policy — QuiKey AI Hub
Last updated: April 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how QuiKey AI Hub (“AI Hub”, “the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the macOS app. It is written to align with the Mac App Store privacy nutrition label and App Store Connect disclosures. Structure follows patterns used in our other App Store–reviewed products (clear categories, plain language, and a concise data table).
What AI Hub does
AI Hub runs on your Mac. It helps you run AI actions on files and selected text (Finder and Services), and use AI chats and squads inside the app. This flavor does not include Gmail or Google Drive upload features—other QuiKey flavors have their own privacy descriptions.
Information involved
The App may involve the following types of information:
- Content you send to AI providers: files, selected text, prompts, and related context when you start an action. That content goes to the third-party provider you configured, not to a QuiKey “AI backend.”
- Data stored locally: settings, API keys or credentials you enter, conversation history, and diagnostic logs (on device), as the App needs to function.
- Optional analytics: if you turn on usage metrics, pseudonymous events (for example a device identifier and feature usage). Not your file bodies or chat text.
- Purchases and licensing: metadata from Apple and/or commerce providers (for example Lemon Squeezy) when you buy or restore a license.
- Support: if you email us, we receive what you send (message content, attachments you choose).
Data categories, collection, use, and recipients
| Data category | How it arises | How it is used | Who may receive it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Files, selected text, prompts, and request context | You run a Finder, Services, or in-app AI action | To perform the AI or automation step you requested | The third-party AI or tooling provider you configured (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenRouter). Governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy. |
| App settings, credentials, chat history, local logs | Stored by the App on your Mac as you use it | App functionality, session continuity, troubleshooting on your device | Stays on your Mac unless you use separate backup/sync outside the App |
| Pseudonymous usage and diagnostic signals | Only if you enable “Send usage metrics” in Settings | Improve stability and understand feature usage | Our configured analytics provider (see App Privacy labels) |
| Purchase and entitlement metadata | When you purchase, restore, or validate a license | Provide paid features and verify entitlements | Apple and/or commerce providers (for example Lemon Squeezy) per their flows |
| Support messages | When you contact support | Respond to your request | Our support mailbox and processors we use to operate email |
Third-party AI and services
Providers you enable handle content under their own policies. Links for convenience: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter.
Optional analytics
The App does not require analytics to function. If you enable usage metrics, you can disable them in Settings → General → “Send usage metrics.” When disabled, the analytics SDK is not initialized for that configuration.
No sale of personal information; advertising
We do not sell your personal information. The App does not use IDFA-style cross-app advertising trackers. Optional product analytics (when enabled) is for operating and improving the App, not for third-party ads.
